Located on Broad St. our flat is a second floor walk up, (17 steps total) above a well known tattoo shop. When you pull into the parking area in the back of the building you will enter through the coded black iron gate and up the stairs to a keyless entry door. On the bus line so very accessible to MCV Bon Secours * there is not an elevator * The Hotspot is an open concept, bright and spacious apartment. Living area, dining room & kitchen are all open o one another. The living space has a queen sleeper sofa, the dining table accommodates 6 and can extend on both ends to accommodate more. The kitchen is stocked with all the essentials even the locally sourced Metta Coffee - STIR roasted by Afterglow Coffee Co-Op here in nearby Scott's Addition. As you enter the hallway the 1/2 bath is on the left and the 1st bedroom is on the right. Queen bed with Metta home mattress and organic Metta Bamboo Home bedding. There is a sky light in this bedroom, but don't worry we have created a curtain that you can open and close. There is a sliding glass door that leads to the full size bathroom. The bathroom is large! Vanity, full walk in shower with two shower heads and a laundry closet. Should you need to use the washer or dryer or both please don’t over load them, they work great when filled but not overloaded. Our towels Metta Home towels, bath mats and washcloths are all made of bamboo as well. All of which can be purchased to bring home with you. The second or front bedroom has another queen bed and twin sleeper. This bedroom has sound proof windows. They are like storm windows and you can open and close them with the latches. We leave them open so you can open and close the blinds. We have a deck with dining table and lounge seating to enjoy the outdoors or have your morning coffee. Surrounded by 3 historic neighborhoods and VCU The Fan - architecture, restaurants, monuments, and cool alley parks. Carver- Industrial to Residential and Jackson Ward - First Fridays Art Walk, tons of history, fabulous restaurants. Whole Foods, Lowes, Kroger, Starbucks, and tons of local eateries and some great music venues! All within two blocks! Easy access to Downtown, Scotts' Addition, Richmond International Airport (RIC), Carytown, Routes 64 & 95, Baseball Stadium, Breweries, Music Venues * NO SMOKING anywhere inside the home. We love our home and hope that you will too! It was built in 1895 for the son of the of Mr and Mrs Hudson, their house is right next door! The flow of the home is wonderful and gets great natural light. The entire house excluding the bathrooms, has original pine hardwood floors. We ask that you remove your shoes when coming in the house to help preserve these floors. On the first floor you have the living room, dining area with bar (wine fridge), half bath: with washer and dryer, and kitchen (gas stove, fridge, dishwasher, and microwave: in the wooden cabinet) with our favorite place just off the kitchen, the screened in back porch! We enjoy our morning coffee and watch the birds, so peaceful. Speaking of coffee, please help yourself to the coffee (roasted locally for us by Afterglow Coffee Co-Op) and all the fix'ns! On the second floor is the master bedroom: which has a king bed (our own Metta Home Brand!). The second bedroom has a queen bed. All of our bed linens are from our newly launched Metta Home brand! Bamboo silk sheets, organic blankets, and bamboo silk duvet covers to name a few. If you like them you can buy them and we will ship them to your home! In between both bedrooms is our den, where you can watch TV: Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon. The full bathroom is also located on the 2nd floor. We are in walking distance to soooo much! and an easy Uber or Lyft to downtown, the Fan, Carytown, and the trendy micro brew haven Scott's Addition. Have a pup that you cant leave at home? Please message me for inquiries, as extra fees will apply. It's perfect if you are looking for a quaint place located in a calm walkable neighborhood! Our old home is located on a quiet and centrally located block in historic Church Hill, a walkable neighborhood with architecture dating from the early 1800s. Many of the neighborhood's parks have amazing views of the Richmond skyline with the downtown. Which is just a short walk, bike, or drive. House Rules: First rule: have fun and enjoy your stay! NO SMOKING No smoking anywhere inside the home. You may smoke outside, be sure you extinguish what you are smoking before leaving unattended. Be sure that all doors, windows and any opening where some may enter the house are closed and secured. HOUSE PARTIES or EVENTS ARE PROHIBITED You agree to act in such a manner as to allow those nearby, peaceful, enjoyment of their properties. We reserve the right to cancel your reservation at anytime that you violate this policy. EARLY CHECK IN Advance notice is required for early check in requests and we'll do our best to accommodate those requests. We charge $35 per hour starting at 12 noon and will be requested upon check in. LATE CHECK OUT Check out is on or before 11am. If you would like to extend your check out time, please contact us in advance and we may be able to authorize a late check out for an additional fee of $35 an hour. Unauthorized late check-outs will automatically be charged 30% of the daily rental rate per hour stay past 11am. ACCIDENTS We totally understand that accidents happen but please let us know if something spilled, stained, or gets broken during your stay. If there is failure to communicate any damages, we will pursue collecting fees and charge an additional 20% over and above the replacement costs. PETS MUST BE PRE APPROVED. Please message me should you want to bring your pet. DO NOT BOOK until we have communicated and agreed on the additional pet fee and approved your pet.
